1990 - 1999
De la misma forma que los 90 fueron un punto culminante en el score también lo serían en las canciones de las bandas sonoras. También comenzó a popularizarse un tipo de banda sonora donde su contenido principal se componía de canciones, algunas que habían sido compuestas para la ocasión y otras que, aprovechando la fuerza de la película y su banda sonora, formaban parte del CD comercial.
